Andy Currie is a graduate of Hiram College (Ohio), has an M.S. degree from Purdue University and a doctorate from The Ohio State University. After spending a decade as an executive in higher education and the arts, Currie joined the non-profit consulting firm of C. W. Shaver & Company in New York, where he rose to president and chief operating officer. He later founded Currie, Ferner, Scarpetta and DeVries, a fundraising and management consulting in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Currie is a former board chair of the Minnesota Humanities Center and the One Percent Club (an organization promoting and bench-marking philanthropy), and is a former trustee of Hiram College and Shattuck-St. Mary’s School in Faribault, Minnesota. He is currently a member of the Hiram College Board of Visitors, an advisory group for the president, and a trustee of the Quaker Hill Foundation in Massachusetts.
